Projects that require support:
- Support with subsidies
- Strengthening of productiv capacities -Workshop in jewelery and silverwork -Workshop in leather
- Education center (kindergarten)
- Psychological support -individual and group therapy.
Donate materials
All kinds of materials are needed, from school books, maps, notebooks and so on for the library, to craft materials for general and specific workshops, games, balls and so on.
Some of the projects involve parents and children. They attend workshops and work together, promoting communication, to re-establish traditional weaving and knitting techniques, producing saleable items such as blankets and hats. These workshops run for 3 months, and materials are required.
For 2007 one of the main proposals is to provide as many school children as possible with the school materials they need for the year at a cost of US$22 per child.
Donate money
All donations to date have been used for the library and for the programmes mentioned above. The staff consists of professional Peruvians, who work voluntarily, dedicated to the children and families of this community. In the future it may be possible to employ further profesionals to help run the project. All donations are accounted for and reports produced.
Buy Artesenal products
We have active programs in 2010 that are strengthening the productive capacity of mothers and adolescents by training them in handcrafts so that they can support their families and themselves by generating income.
We sell on behalf of the producers products made of:
- leather (bags)
- jewelery (earings, bracelets, and necklaces made of silver and other materials)
- textiles (wall hangings, place mats, table settings)
